Thing is - there's not much space in the modern smartphones to accomodate even larger sensors.

Space can be made by either adding a camera bump or making the phone thicker, phones are already too thin and I for one wouldn't be bother with a bit more bulk for a better sensor and more battery.

@tai - it's not really copying if they come out with the same feature at the same time, unless you're accusing them of corporate espionage. Having memory to buffer a camera sensor is nothing new. it's just new in a mobile phone. If samsung can do it, well good for them. they are a massive company after all and have the resources to develop such things. Their implementation may be different from Sony's as well. Which is better? only time will tell. That's if these rumors are even true at all.

They are massive becouse they copy stuff in the past and still do It. You dont know or have no knowledge about Samsung how they work.
