haha at least you tried man.
i'm not a fan of the curved shape either. if they want to round the corners a bit, that's fine, but keep the top and bottom flat please.

Oh boy! Haven't seen this much activity in the rumor thread in so long! Which is a good thing! Hope this encourages more sources to start posting here.
Now, I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm super excited that they're keeping the 16:9 aspect ratio! Now, the only thing left to hope for is that they keep the screen FLAT! Because curved screens are a nightmare......
So, may someone tell us if this will be the PRO moniker? CES, MWC, or IFA?
As for those who says the Pixel 2 XL has FAT side bezel, it is very true.... It's actually fatter than most none edge to edge design phones. Hence, fairly annoying. Even though I love the phone, UI is so much better than my S8+, but the blue screen shift issue plus those ginormous side bezels are tempting me very much to return it.

I hate curved screens even minimal curves like XZ. Finding a good quality screen protector is impossible and they come of easily. Happened to me today.

Welcome to the club Joe! My nightmare began with the S8+, now continues with Pixel 2 XL!
Not like there's no alternatives, but they cost an arm and a leg. $40 USD for a liquid adhesive one. Probably will end up doing that if I decide to keep my Pixel 2 XL.
Don't recall if I asked or read this before, but is SONY keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack?

Yep. We're in the same boat.I got one for 30$ from ebay and after installation the screen quality was downgraded to Nokia 1100. Only the edges had adhesive and the air gap was aweful.Couldn't stand it for a sec. It's sitting in the trash can right now lol.
Just an educated guess here but I'm almost certain they will keep the headphone jack.

Phones with flat glass look like G6, phones with curved glass look like S8.
And the screen has round corners instead of being a rectangle.
I do not see a problem when one brand uses same design for all phones.
Sony is been doing for years, all Motorola look alike.
Older Samsung shared design.
But many different brands using same front.
You do not recognize phones anymore.
