Does anyone have any reliable information on whether the Xperia 1 V has UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.0 storage?
someone made a video and claimed 4.0, but results are not match for 4.0. The 3.1 is about 1.8Gb/s while 4.0 is more than 2x this. To me it is obvious it has 3.1 .....
something else, since sony gives same updates to phones with same SoC, obviously 10v is not going to get android 15, since 10iv stops at A14. Just like XZs from 7.1.1 to 8.0, matching XZ/X Perf.

1V is PDX-234
5V is PDX-237
You can guess what is in between the gap

I suppose that 10 and ace would be 232 and 233, right?
1) Docomo has not listed Ace 4. This means either canceled or unlock model only.
2) The device with Dimensity 8xxx was certified many weeks ago. Does not mean it is ever coming out.
3) the fact 5v is left for september obviously means no Pro-i in october. They pushed 5iii to february that year for this.
4) Sony Electronics is claiming 888 can rival 989 , so another reason to doubt pro-i 2 is any near.
5) looks like no one else is getting hands on exmor T any soon, not even iphone 15 pro max. So sony can leave it for 2024 and give tech to all rear cameras, no way sony has 4 sensors ready to use now (only 802 has been published so far, besides 888 obviously). 903 is for iphone, that leaves 786 and another one left with dual layer.
That guy on twitter claims pro-i 2 (for 2024) has 1" + 1/2.9" + 1/3.5" periscope.
Looks like there is a exmor T 50MP 1/2.9" .. 😒
Angry friday bonus: Phone Arena made a video mocking 1v. Review may be out soon. Basically they bash all cam apps most of the time. Very sarcastic video.

is sony saving more than $0.50 per device by removing notification light?
Weibo profile claims one device has ugly xz2 style, mediatek chip and 1iii cam. Considering that not even 5v has periscope, I doubt that is true.

when sammy semicon made own version of imx400, they put dram below second layer instead of middle to avoid sony patent. Now , hard to imagine they can bypass it to avoid licensing the tech. Still dont know why sony let sammy semicon use quadbayer , I doubt royalties pay as much as selling sensors would since isocell is cheaper than exmor.
Samsung Electronics cannot fit 1" inside S Ultra without sacrificing the Pen and making huge bump.
When Exmor T make to chinese phones to replace the successor of imx989, S Ultra will be in extreme trouble.
1" Exmor T might be able to challenge 4/3 according to some gossips.
And S25U may have only 1/1.12" (s24u keeps hp2) which is what GN2 size.

Never again am I buying a phone with only 3 years of security updates. My 1 II has already reached EOL, pretty pathetic for what it cost me
. I switched to the S23 now

My Xperia 5 also do not have anymore updates and is stopped at android 11. It is still working perfectly fine and continuing to update android applications in play store. Only gripe is the battery life has of course gone lower than what it used to be. It is sometimes functioning even better than my Xperia 1IV in reception and heat issue (snapdragon 855).
So my conclusion is : Android update is over hyped.
