Welcome Aztec, and nice piece you got there.

Following the same line of reasoning. Maybe we should also ban/burn cars, since peace time statistics show that they kill more than guns in the hands of civilians. As they say, opinions are like .........., everyone has them and are entitled to them..... Peace!

Aztec,
here's a visual comparison of the first and second generation FN-Five-seveN that you were asking. wow looks like bibilhin mo na yung nakita mo sa GunShow, huh?

i prefer the older, odder-looking, rounded trigger-guard, first gen version. but hey.... lower the price and i'd take home any version!

Cars are designed to provide transportation. Guns are designed to shoot things with a view to causing damage to the target.

Personally I would severely restrict gun ownership and use to those who need a gun for their job e.g. farmer, gamekeeper, etc and for sport.

exactly my point scotsboy..

someone a wee while ago said that they would rather have a gun to defend themselver agaisnt someone else that had a gun... my point was that ALL guns would be melted down.. therefore the the chances of you meetiing someone else with a gun would be 0.

Precisely the point.. now aren't we all in this gun stuff for sporting purposes? It isnt like we buy guns to shoot people whenever we like to. However, that may be a good idea. hahaha

The Taurus PT24/7 gun of the year. Yep very nice gun. Although you have to be very careful with this baby since it doesn't have a hammer like the glocks.
Hey why don't we give it a test run when it comes...

Well why not? A newbie could always use some pointers from more experienced gun owners.

I was told that although the PT24/7 is glock-like (having no exposed hammer), it has a manual safety similar to those of 1911 guns. Geez...the waiting time is killing me!
