I am a Vodacom trade partner and we get training on everything...Coming back to network crashing,GSM system is ment for sharing and when and when the slots are used up and you try phoning out you will get a NETWORK BUSY message on your phone.3G everytime you use it there is a code assign to you, every code is different thats why its unlimited capacity.3G is also known has WCDMA(WIDEBAND CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS)...........Vodafone Live coming SOON..........I FEEL SORRY 4 MTN and Cell C when Vodafone live is launched because when you browse via Vodafone Live,IT FREE only if you buy you pay.If Vodafone wants to stream some thing free like F1 grand prix. You don't have to pay.Vodafone live is a global content if you read news, weather, etc its free unless it stated you pay.You have to buy a Vodafone branded handset to use these services which will be launched soon

SonyEricsson V800 coming soon to a Vodashop near you.Retail price about R4500.The Z1010 will not be available through Vodacom.Look out for the SHARP 902 which is the only 3G phone with a 2 mega pixel cam.The Sharp 902 has a scanner that scans up to 60 characters on business card + it comes with a cable that plugs in your video jack on your TV so you can stream movies, etc on your TV .SHARP phones have the same interface as SonyEricsson and Sharp phones are for Vodafone only.Sharp 902 is the best 3G phone when it will launch according to Vodacom.Watch this SPACE for more details.....................

Good luck to anyone jumping on the 3G bandwagon...just from what Tahir has mentioned it's a serious turn-off...best thing to is wait until MTN launch 3G before deciding to part with cash and a massive bill each month.

YELLO Brix25.History has shown that Vodacom was always S.A leading net.EG:Voda started business 2 months before MTN.Today Vodacom has 15Mill customers,MTN has 7Mill.Vodacoms distribution is bigger than MTN.With 3G Voda has a 6 months lead if MTN launches in June05.In the Brainstorm Itweb sep04 mag Mr Karel Pienaar of MTN GROUP CTP said "Ill eat my hat" if Vodacom launches 3G by Dec04.In that mag MTN stated they will only launch 3G in 2006.The only reason they want to launch it now because they are loosing alot of high spenders to Voda and Cell C said they will be launching 3G by June.Remember Vodacom is the only net in world that is charging the same price for a voice and video call.Other net are charging 3 times more for a video call. This year all Vodafone partner net will be launching Vodafone WORLD.This means if you phone from SA Voda to any Vodafone customer you will pay a local SA cell price becuase its one GLOBAL COMMUNITY.....Can the yello guys match this.I DON'T think so.

No Tahir I'm not an MTN sub. Vodacom is excellent when it comes to their customer care, made that point countless times on here but would you buy a car from the only dealership in town if you knew another one was due to open in three months? People need to wait and see so all the offers can be weighed up against one another.

People can wait for MTN to launch 3G but Vodacom will be the leader in 3G coverage.Vodacom currently has 473 3G base station by the end of this year it will exceed 1000. When MTN launches 3G 70% of KZN AND Western Cape will have 3G by Vodacom.Gauteng is already 70% covered with 3G coverage.MTN promised eveyone EDGE in Feb. Its already middle of March and its still in test faze...When MTN launched HSCD(HIGH SPEED CIRCUT DATA) which is faster than GPRS a goverment dept went to them and the MTN HSCD crashed after 2 weeks and it never worked for months.MTN was forced to cancel the goverment contract.Vodacom never had HSCD because they knew of all the faults.MTN still has HSCD but don't market it because its not stable. This shows Vodacom knows what its doing but you can judge for yourself.
