They will probably announce new phones on the 16th to turn all the fuss away from there market loss (can't see them making a profit) and make everyone think "oh look at the new xperia wow", then forget about the market loss.

I can say maybe all your hype will be for nothing if you are expecting any X series phones. Probably a small announcement for the low end or mid end tier. But who knows right?

hmmmm yes thats a thought, well they have only just relaeased there money maker (w995) so i would be suprised if they are making a profit
