nobody knows yet, and for all we know the m610 never existed and was supposed to be the p1i all along. looking at the market, the corporate telephony market as a whole is dominated too by the Nokia E series, maybe SE is pulling the M series completely? who knows, until the next announcement that is...

I hope it they'll get it right this time. I don't mine if they release it 3rd or 4th quarter next year as long as it has "up-to-date" features.

According to the mobile-review successor of the P990 will be anounced in the end of 2007 - beginning of 2008. Will have a flip and better cpu than P1

There are some people on HowardForums (I know that isn't exactly the most reliable place in the world, thus why I'm asking here) who swear up and down that Sofia will have tri-band 3G. Now, I can see the argument for that (the Z-whatever-it-was has quadband GSM and triband 3G), but I just don't see it happening, unfortunately. What's Esato's take on this?

why not? its a good way to improve SE's market share in US IMO

I wasn't saying I would complain if it were true!

It just seems...too good to be true, for whatever reason.

its not too good, possibly its the only trick that SE can use to sell Sofia, with all these high end Nokias these days(don't forget N82 and N83)

Right, that's what I was thinking.
The trend with SE, it seems, is to only stick triband GSM and 2100 in their high-end phones (look at the P1). Now, they said that they would try to target NA more this year, and they have (three mid-range phones with 850), but the high-end stuff (P1, T650) is still centered on Europe. Which isn't a bad thing if you're in Europe....but I'm not, and while I am going to wait for official specs on Sofia...I just don't see it having the 850 band, realistically. I would LOVE to be proved wrong.

so if you are thinking the same way as me and its logical for SE to implement the 850 band(considering NA which is said to be one of the SE's aims this year),then why not?T650 isn't a hi-end model, even the P1 isn't (its hi-mid end IMO)I don't understand why you are sceptical.

I'm skeptical because I don't want to assume something to be true and then have it not be correct. I'd much rather assume something (Sofia) to be less than what is "perfect," and then if SE does implement 850, I will be ecstatic.

ok,now I understand
but still, you should save some money,if not for Sofia, then for the hi-end flip phone(Z-series) which 99% will have what you need
