Youtube video shows that SE really improved speed of the OS. There is no lags. It's sooo important - at least for me. High-end phones shouldn'e have any lags. If X1 works like in the video after few months of usage and with some apps working it will be great phone.

One more thing SE - please make Opera Mobile 9.5 the default browser. As far as I'm concerned now it's not fully integrated. If SE does it, I'll probably buy this beauty

Wow !!! This phone is so fast. I'm impressed. ... and spb panel is so cool.

this should be the retail version right ?

why the phone in this youtube is way faster than the one used by magnus anderson ?

Cause magnus was using a prototype

sometimes I don't understand their marketing strategy. Why magnus use prototype to demonstrate the capability of the phone ?... Maybe he thought nobody will pay attention to the lagging issue in his phone.

That's true. SDRAM is fast enough to share memory for video frame or video data. The real question is why 128MB ? that's huge!!! 16MG or max 32MB is more than enough for the bit map size of the Xperia.

Only part of it is used as the main framebuffer. The rest is used for 3D rendering (Z buffer for depth), doublebuffering etc. The same reason why most PC graphics cards have triple-digit MB of RAM.

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.

At this stage the sony Ericsson X1 is due for release in 4th quarter of this year 2008 the specific date of release is dependant on Network Acceptance we are unable to provide a specific release date.

In regards to Video operation with the X1 we can confirm that it runs with 30fps. Also there is no difference interms of function with European and Australian products.

I hope this information has been helpful.

If we can be of any further help, please feel free to either call us on 1300 650 050 9am-5pm Mon-Fri, or email us at questions.au@support.sonyericsson.com for prompt assistance.

Just spoke to O2 UK and they have been advised of a further delay this morning, and now don't even have an approximate date on their system.

ughh... I don't really understand. What is the problem that causing the delays ? SE ? HTC manufaturing plan ? Mass production problem ? production shortage ? HTC manufacturing quality ? Service Provider ?

Anybody works in HTC production plan ? how many units have been produced ?

Based on my experience working with Sony Design center, we sometimes have problems with third party manfucaturer. Sometimes they can't meet Sony specifications. I don't know about HTC manufacturing capabilities.
