Mano82: i have some other "problems" with coverage. dont know if its my carrier. but sometimes i lose the connection and it cant connect by it self and i have to reboot. and sometimes sms is not sent, and i need to reboot to fix it, a friend have the white and same carrier and no problems, but he is on an older branded FW and i am on same as you
Skibbe, i've never faced any problem with sending sms. And reboot does not help me with sending MMS. But if i install/set MMS-settings again, i can send MMS. But after 1 or 2 MMS, again same problem :-/ i asked about that problem in Esato, but didn't get any answer

There has been a chat session with SE representatives at the Swedish magazine Mobil today. While 90% of the questions felt like they were of the type "when will X10 get ANdroid 2.2" (which never got answered), two things of interest was confirmed:
1. The larger update promissed back in April, will still be available in a "couple of weeks" (hopefully June). Unlike the smaller one's we have seen so far (including .16 and .21), this one will be available to everyone (branded X10's included).
2. The update of X10 HD video recording capabilities, also incudes continuous autofocusing while recording just like in Vivas HD.

I dont' use the email client, so i just noticed when i read your post. you cant "get" the contacts nor the email adresses from the app, suck donkey balls.
BUT you can go the other way, contacts>chose wich to email, press and then press email again, and you will get the options to start gmail (or other clients you have installed) more timeconsuming, but if you don't konw the email it's the only sulotion i know for now.

I think the idea is that if you want your gmail address book downloaded to your phone you sync with the google sync. That downloads all them email addresses etc and put them in your contacts list. I think what google are trying to do is force you to merge all your contacts into one list and use said list on your phone and gmail account. Instead of having a list of phone numbers here, a list of email addresses there, a duplicate list of email addresses here and a back of each list somewhere else... you get the picture.

It's slightly harder to control some of the games, but it is possible. Just harder
