kwan888...Stop what you are doing...I can see that you have read the thread but are still unclear on some issues....

Firstly, you may not even have that one credit from unlocking...seeing that the client actually tried to log in and got stuck, usually, you will lose your credit...but they are great guys over there and they will, hopefully, give you replacement credit to try again.

Now, what version are you trying to upgrade to? This is very important.

Secondly, when the client says to power on the phone, you only click on the NO button for a quick second...that's it. Do NOT hold it down for any period of time.

Thirdly, if you are using that THAI server, try doing the flash very late at night...the problem with servers is that during peak hours, there could be lots of congestion and traffic!

Fourthly, make VERY VERY certain that you have a solid, good internet connection. If you are using dialup, make sure you cancel call waiting (*70) or else if could just be bad luck and someone calls you while you are trying to access the remote server. Understand this, you only need the connection to be good while you are trying to access the server, but those 15-30 seconds are critical.

Well, that's all I can think of for now...contact unlocking and see if you can get a replacement credit, or else it could log on and say credit expired at 0.

(Btw, my "all caps" isn't not in any way, yelling...like some people think...I am simply stressing the importance of such meanings.)

Good Luck!

av0135 - Thanks! That clears up alot of stuff. As for the version I am upgrading to, I am upgrading it to the R5D007 that is found here: http://www.sevenfire.net/T68.html

As for everything else, I will try the Thai Server later at night. Also, how will I know if my log has been used up or not? Will EricsClient notify me? Thanks again!

Guys, thanks to AV0135, we now have a firmware dump for a T68m (R1B hardware) updated through EMMA2 to R5D007 firmware.. People who have the standby issue should try to flash using this firmware instead.

Thanks Guys

Funks, you're welcome for the mention, but it is actually av0135...and notwithstanding the constant assistance of virtualdynamix and gsmphonesource!

Anyways, there are thre files, all zipped. One is the 10mb language file, one flash one credit..and the others are the avr and arm files..two flashes two credits (never got it to only use one credit to do both files before...and yes, I know how to do it..it just never worked). I am saying this to warn future flashers so that they don't bombard their credit sources with why's and pay me backs and stuff! I've went thru it all already, managed to piss off the guys at logosunlimited to where they don't even return my emails anymore. Anyways...another topic.

So, no bluetooth probs and no standby probs whatsoever on this flash. Just make sure of the following (and I use caps to symbolize importance, not yelling): MAKE SURE YOU DO A MASTER RESET ON YOUR PHONES (m or i mods) BEFORE FLASHING. BE CERTAIN YOU ARE ON A FRESH FULL CHARGE. BE CERTAIN YOU ARE ON A 500mhz or SLOWER PC, TESTS HAVE CONCLUDED THAT ECLIENT DOES NOT LIKE FASTER CPUS..TRUST ME, OVER 10 CREDITS HAVE BEEN BURNED FIGURING THIS OUT...

That's all guys, just give that a shot! Good luck. Thanks funks for posting this even in your ill state right now...check your pm!

For those have Standby Problem after flashing with R5D007.

I have tried numerous way to upgrade to R5D007 and all the time, the phones resulted in LOW STANDBY TIME, about 55 hours.

Finally, I think I found a way to rectify this problem.

If you phone with FW R5D007 and have problem of LOW STANDBY.
1) Turn off BT and IR;
2) Down Grade to R2E006;
3) Make sure the BT and IR is turn off under R2E006;
4) Upgrade again to R5D007.

With this procedure, I managed to upgrade the following phones:
one T68m with HWR1B FWR2A
one T68mc with HWR1A FW???
one T68i with HWR4B FWR3B002

They all function well with BT and Normal Standby Time.

Excellent,

Well done guys

I think it's very important that people follow the guidlines mentioned by av0135 in his post, even if in the past they have managed to use just one credit for an AVR/ARM flash and even if they have managed to flash from a PC over 500Mhz in speed. If you do follow these guidlines then you shouldn't get any problems, those that don't can expect otherwise.

I have downloaded both R5D007 file and am ready to try them out. I don't have any problems with my phone (flashed from sevenfires R5D source using Thai), but I do have one other to flash and would like to avoide problems, so this new source is a more promising error free flash.

Just one question....

Can somone clarify the difference between flashing from a Language as opposed to the 2 file AVR/ARM method?

As I understand it the AVR/ARM method is the more reliable, is this still the case or are there other cosiderations to take into account now?

Regards

Onslo

@funks

Finally today when I went to pay my phone bill, btw I have to driver to another city for this (30 miles). I went to the office depot after leaving the t-mobile store. They had a Palm Tungsten T pda with built in bluetooth, so I paired it up with my phone on discoverable, and they found each other just fine, I sent buisness cards back and forth so my bluetooth is working like it should, no problems there. For the record, so you can add it to your list: T68m firmware R2B013 R4C hardware-R5D007 EU from SevenFire's site. No standy/bluetooth problems, or anything else. Also regarding the bluetooth problems, do you think it has anything to do with the customization MS/TAE? booth of mine are R4A now, they were R1B. Just a thought, accually it was my theroy from my last post that I never got around to posting.

kwan888...the sevenfire fw is what I had on my phone previously, with the Easter European language set...but I still went to my own R5D007 Euro set on a clean emma2 flashed dump...this is my opinion...

onslo...there are intrinsic differences in the two methods...however, with a stable (read slower) machines and stable solid internet connection, I will use the language method now...only because more than one person, in whom I trust, have chosen this method to use. It may be a cleaner flash to use the arm/avr method, but I do so much testing that I don't want to waste 2 credits when 1 will do.

Use the R5D007Euro dump that I gave to funks to post, it is clean...and just as soon I as can get a different language set, I will post it to funks as well for distribution.

Anyways, good luck. Funks...feeling any better? Can wait to hear that you've received the proper medication. Get well soon!
