Mine is R1CB001 CHINA APAC and I still can't figure out what I have done so far so that I NEVER experience intermittant white screen at all for the past two days..Not even a single crash..I'm just lucky then..Do you think the F/W stability reaches its max point after days of usage? Hm, weird. My K800i even works so smooth in typing, displaying pictures, and more..Thanks God..

I think some people are going a bit overboard saying this phone has loads of bugs and when are they going to get fixed. People are being far too anal, at the end of the day for everyday use this phone is great and I haven't had any problems with the day to day stuff I use it for. I.e Calling, texting, taking the odd pic and listening to music.
Chill out and just enjoy using the phone, if not return it and get a different phone

Holy Christ, Yet another buggy production from SE.
Well as a software developer I know that a software will have a bug one way or the other.
But some bugs in these fone are just not acceptable. I mean even functionality that is working correctly on other models fails on new models.
Things like shortcuts and menu key pad number mapping have been working fine on SE fones so having bugs on things like those is just out of question.

The best post of this entire thread. Simply the best, and on the mark. My goodness it is a friggin phone. If you are not happy then take it back but the day to day whining by a certain few is just downright childish. SE will release an update that fix most bugs and probably introduce one or two. Get over it and try putting the phone down for a while and get some fresh air. Maybe talk to a girl or two. For sure explore life without the phone.

I think the media player volume needs improving (loudening) track id needs to be sent to the HBH-ds970 (as in the M600) and overall speed needs improving along with the unsensored button presses sometimes.

I agree, the background sending feature is useful and no doubt explains the loss of the cancel button - just gonna have to be a bit more careful what I write.....especially after a few beers!
If you're limber, the message can be cancelled by going into the Outbox.
I'd also like to draw your attention to this reported bug:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=128867
Where the camera file number resets itself whenever the camera folder is emptied in it's entirety to the computer.
Can't speak on behalf of this one myself, (haven't tested for it), but thought you folks may be interested in it. A hugely annoying bug, if true.
Some more that I've uncovered, (to be checked by you guys, of course! Don't take my word for it!)
Sorting of browsing photos bug
(When phone is horizontal), Pressing the top 'Photo button' bring up a list of recent photos, sorted by Most recent to least recent.
Pressing the bottom photo button and then zooming out incorrectly sorts the images backwards.
Photo DJ file access bug
Can someone please verify whether it is impossible to load an image from the phone memory? Pointless if the camera is set to save photos to the phone and not card.
Media Playerrrrr!
For the love of God - make the player EXCLUDE RINGTONES!
If the phone has an undeletable system folder named "Ringtones", set the Media player to exclude this from it's indexing process, always.
For someone who constantly updates the music on their phone, making a new playlist (and selecting artists individually in doing so) in order to avoid ringtones playing is more than unfeasible - it's annoying.
Sure, I've cut down my ringtones and message tones to a minimal amount - but they still shuffle through.
This 'wish list' feature is just common sense.
And while you're at it - please improve the audio drivers. The music sounds highly compressed. Yes - it is noticible with good headphones (or car stereo).
Rant rant rant. Sorry sorry sorry. All true, mind you.

hi.. i bought my k800i allure brown in hk and it comes with the R1CF001. So i think this firmware is not a generic firmware of wotanserver but of sony ericsson itself.

Can we all agree that the audio on the k800i is not the best in its current form? Does this need to be repeated over and over and over? And for the current software version, is a running report needed daily? How about MWarmer posting when the new version is released or someone else doing so? How about posting something not already covered rather than posting the same complaints over and over and over.
Recap.
1.Stop complaining and whining. Everyone knows the phone has a few irritating bugs. Name one perfect phone without quirks.
2. SE knows about them, probably reads ESATO and will fix as many as possible without adding cost or compromising the current phone.
3. The phone has only been on the market a few weeks and upgrading the software and testing takes time. The very same people here that live in complaint-land would be back again if SE released and upgrade that was also buggy.
