Just flashed Clockworkmod-recovery onto my phone.This is where things go pear-shaped and your phone takes a pounding.

@daviep check out this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133650 tells you everything you need to know
Now I need help!
I am looking at the S2 and I came across an ad that sells the phone but states that it is 'stuck in flight mode' and so does not have signal. Is this a serious problem, or could is there a solution, apparently its a common problem...
thanks

My main reasons for rooting are
To installs Recovery so I can switch between different roms when I get bored .
To change system fonts.
Use Titanium Backup to remove unwanted system applications.
Change my screen resolution
That's all I can think of at the moment.
You can unroot whenever you feel like it and with Recovery installed you can backup your stock rom so if anything goes wrong you can just enter Recovery mode and restore.
Its nice having all these extra options.
Its not for everyone though because things can go awfully wrong but I've always managed to bring my X10 back to life.Let's hope Sammy plays along too.
