I think the bezels are actually a good thing....it leaves spaces for part of your hand to touch without actually touching the touchscreen! which in my opinion is important from an ergonomics point of view!

Z1's screen is on brighter setting while z1s is not. My screen looks exactly like the one on z1s. On a side note , z1 screen is just too bright even on the lowest setting :@. Any idea how I can suggest it to them?

Have you checked "Adopt to lightning conditions" ?
That helps a lot.

Yep. Adapt to lightning condition is on. If they allowed us more dimmer option, we could have even longer battery life. I had a similar issue with xperia T. Originally it was dim, after an update it became really bright then with the final one, they made it dim again.

I was just thinking about you and the prototype you saw a while back with the camera in the center with a ring around it, half carbon fiber / half metal, and led's around the stereo speakers!

I think What ever Sony will launch in 2014 it should be loaded with KitKat already... It will be enough time for them to have KitKat in a new device that will be launched in March-April timeframe, that's about 5 - 6 months after the source is released...
So if Sony will not launch any more devices in CES, So MWC is the event we should look forward ?
CES 2014 : 7 - 10 Jan. 2014...
MWC 2014 : 24 - 27 Feb. 2014...

all aluminum back and sides instead of glass because the omni balance design is cool but gets old and aluminum is less fragile, so less complains of shattered phones and also some people don't like the shatter film. if not aluminum then use
stronger glass without shatter film.
