There are shots wherein the z2 camera samples are better than the S5. For example, the street sign picture is definitely better in z2. To be honest, its hard to compare the pictures taken from these 4 phones since they have different resolutions.

Here is an amateur crop.

@Shino03

but you have to take note of the softening in parts of the xz2 photos. i really hope sony addresses it. they've already dealt with the sharpening artefacts. hopefully, they can do something about the softening. the s5 photos look unrealistic but they retain the most details (in the areas bright enough to show details). overall, i'd say z2 still has more details to show because of the brighter photos.

z2's weakness, apparently, is landscape photo taking. the softening/blurring become very obvious. lg's photos appear impressive considering that they're not bringing anything proprietary (htc ultrapixel, sony g lens, samsung isocell). they are able to retain good amounts of details without the noise although the colors appear to be off.

I agree. In my honest opinion, the LG G PRO 2 beats S5 and Z2 in low-light shots I think in manual mode, S5 and Z2 could be improved.

sammy fans argue that the white background in the photo where z2 appears too red is pure white. i'd say it can't possibly be considering that all three lcd displays show that reddish tint. besides, the red dress will likely reflect some redness into the walls unless those walls are sources of light themselves.

still, we can't deny that the z2 here is too red. but we can't also quickly dismiss the possibility that the wall is not really completely white as what the amoled display wants us to believe.

also, i was surprised to realize that amoleds also have off angles. they fade away when viewed from the left. i always thought they are perfect from all sides.

z2 probably shipped with white balance app anyway, no big deal with the screen, by my god the color is rich!

I think that Sony have shot themselves in the foot! With the phone delayed until May here in the UK, it probably won't be a major success now, it's very bad, especially when you consider that the Z3 will be released in September, poor show Sony.

They can't do anything if demand was higher than expected and supply is lower. Those who pre-ordered it would still get it by April.
