^ Agreed they are weak, but only Sony has this kind of bleed. I've never seen that with any other phone, and this problem is present since Z1, obviously because it is the same flash light and same positioning from Z1 till Z3.

My iPhone 6 does the same thing sometimes...

Led flashes suck.. the only reasons OEMs use them is because they are cheaper, easier to implement and don't add millimeters to the profile, but in return we get shitty pictures. My 808 wipes the floor with any phone when it comes to flash Photography.

more like others moved up than Sony's slip. xiaomi is a beast backed by Qualcomm and Google
LG has been backed by Google Nexus yet it slipped as well.

sony's fall is inevitable mostly because of china.
making sales in china, the world's largest market for smartphones, is very difficult because of the chinese sentiment against the japanese.
for now, the best they can do is to exploit the indian and southeast asian markets and hope to make it big there.

I'm not surprised by Sony's current position. Remember, it's only just sort of broken into the US market and the up and coming Chinese OEMs are flying high. LG gained market share but still dropped two places.

Good luck with that.
The Chinese brands will be able to undercut the price on anything Sony can throw at them, and the brand name itself doesn't do the trick anymore.. they will actually need to innovate if they want things to start moving forward.

^^ I guess 2015 could be the last year of sony mobile if they don't do something radical really soon. i think that z4 needs to be something big, with innovation and no compromises in terms of hardware and software. basically it needs to be a perfect device with fast worldwide release. what they are doing until now is clearly not enough.
