.... yup, this could all be just a phase Sony is going through, and they will make a 'comeback device'! I mean, why wouldn't they, right?
cheers!

About missing out on some key markets. Yes that was also something I was thinking about. Germany and the UK are Sony's strongest markets.

Was this not re-iterated by Sony that UK will have a release date soon, Germany no comment?
Further do you have proof that Sony's strongest markets ARE the UK and Germany, besides fans chatter on this and another 2 sites?

Regardless of what the name will actually be, are these specs accurate for the September 2016 IFA flagship from Sony? :

Current X series is F31xx, F51xx and F81xx, so I am not sure a device with F65xx would be positioned higher than the X performance. Best bet, those model numbers were speculations based on previous devices, as for the specs, they are a slight bump from the Z5, FHD to WQHD, 810 to 820, 3GB to 4GB, same camera, same screen size, same IP68, so again nothing too difficult to come up with, a realistic upgrade and not something out of this world. If another model or 2 or 3 is to show up at IFA then the specs could be similar as what is posted on that site.
There are various codes on zauba, some of which are the X line I feel
PS10 GINA 2A 5in, from November, both originated from China, value of devices 971 USD/unit.
Then from December, SUZURA GINA 1A and 2A, SUZU GINA 2A
SUZURA - 780 USD value/unit
SUZU - 1110 USD/unit
Next is SM10 GINA 5in, also from china, 177 USD/unit, early december
PS10 GINA 2D, 5in, from china, 990 USD/unit, from mid January , form china
GINA DS 1, 5.2 in screen, 198 USD/unit, middle of january, from china
DOR GINA 3A GEN AP1 - early february, from sweden, 552 USD/unit
GINA 3A, 6in device from china, 200 USD/unit
PROTOTYPE SUZU GINA 2A AP1.1, from sweden, 990 USD/unit, wonder if this is the same as PS10 GINA 2D?
SM20 GINA, 6in FHD screen, from Taiwan, not sure if a Sony device, 140 USD/unit, middle of february
GINA APAC DS 1, from china, 240 USD/unit, from 25th of february
Finally, SUZ GINA 2A AP 1.0, from sweden, feb 25th, 500 USD/unit
Pricing probably mean nothing but I added it just for the hell of it.

If F6553 was the next flagship I will definitely angry at SONY. SONY flagship (Z5 series) in last year have 5MP front camera I will not understand why did SONY use this shitty camera on their flagship again in this year. This is 2016 not 2014 -_-
Blast it.

Just count yourself,I lost all readings. Please include certain carrier model as well.
I assume next line up will be XA Ultra,X Premium and X Compact.(XR1)
Rumoured that X Premium and X compact has higher spec than XA Ultra(XR1)
XR1 Specs:
XA Ultra-6 inch Full HD,2/3GB Ram and Helio P10/P20
X Premium-? inch,3/4GB Ram,Snapdragon 820
X Compact-? inch,2/3GB Ram,Snapdragon 820

My guess will be on same spec... or same SoC, for example all Z5, Z3+/Z4 & Z4 tablet were based on 810 platform so they shared a single platform...

Gotchya, a 60% reduction of 7 yields 3 platforms which is what we will have this summer it seems, Helio P10, SD650 and SD820.

Sony fans are even more naive (aka gullible) than MS fans used to be
Update: Just to avoid confusion, especially given other reports that continue to circulate saying otherwise, the statement we received below is from Sony Mobile’s internal Global PR team. It is as official as it gets.
Sony Mobile statement on Xperia Z series
“The Xperia Z line has reached its culmination – Xperia X series represents a new chapter and evolution of our product strategy. Whilst the Xperia Z series was all about bringing the best of Sony’s advanced technologies to smartphones, Xperia X series is based on bringing smart, adaptive Sony user experiences across camera, battery performance and hardware / software design.”
So.... who still needs that bridge in Brooklyn? I have another one in LA you might like
