So when is the availability this month or next? Also wat bout the competition for the series 60 device? I have made a vector graphic in corel will post it and u tell me how it looks

well i guess it depends where you live, i met a guy from se the other day and he said that they are expecting "real" shipments in september.....
which seems a little late because we often get phone quite early, i think a month was the biggest delay......
anyway it's still a possibilty that he confused k700 and s700 but that's highly doubtful....

Im sure in time videocontent will be big - and yes the S700 would definately be the perfect phone for it.
I dont think though its going to be very big in Europe real soon - because of GPRS taxes and other costs. It differs of cource from country to country but I know that in my country GPRS are 3$ pr. mb data - which in my view makes video over GPRS far to expensive to have any real use. In my country they are even having difficulty getting mms to be "normal" because its to expensive - and the new 3 network only managed to gain 3500 customers this first year even after hughe marketing and giving away the phones for free. After this first year they came out with a "billion" loss and a new managing director. Where I live people are very cost aware even though being techlovers.
About the T650 killing sales of the K700 - sure it could kill sales of some K700's - but overall salesnumbers of S//E phones would increase with more phones targeted at different people. In general I think its a good marketingstrategy to give customers a posibility to choose between a bigger productline - after all thats what has kept Nokia big for many years. I certainly would welcome more models and more choices from S//E. I like the idea of being able to say I want this in my phone - without having to pay extra for things I dont need. I would have loved a T610 without the camera cause I had no use for it. Even if I dont have financial problems with buying what I want - I still have a high costawareness and dont like to pay for things I dont use. Even if its "only" 100$. I'd welcome a "K700/T650" with a memoryslot and a 1.3mp camera to get for myself - and still be able to pay less for an ordinary K700 for my kids if I think they dont need the deluxe version. Or the other way around if thats what I want
The more models - the more likely a customer can find a phone that suits his/her needs and money and I beleive the T610/T630/Z600 series has helped getting S//E lots of new customers.
On the other hand one also has to pay attention to not making to many models with to litle differences - because theres a risk that could "wash out" the product line giving an image like Nokia's "they are all alike" - I guess its a fine line to balance.

I have a question about the hole above the camera where the shutter was supposed to be, as Mentioned by Eldar in his review.. Will all the final product have this hole? or are the prototypes the only ones that will have this? :|
