i'm used to charging my batt whenever i feel it. not thinking of the consequences. hmmm.

Their knowledge is outdated. That was true for NiMH but Li batteries are different, you can change and unplug any time. Also, the less you wait for the battery to become low for charging the better it is for life span. I read that on a battery manufacturer website.
That was exactly how I understood it - it's worse to leave your battery to run near flat before recharging.

make sure you wrap the battery with plastic bag or else the battery will end up at the dustbin and the refrigerator at the junk yard
