I can add account to receive pic messages but not to send...so thats kind of a bomber. I am going to speak to Vodafone tomorrow and give them hell to remove one of those profiles..lets see what happens.

Hello all,

I have read through this total 35 pages. Thanks for all the information about V800. It really attracts me a lot by its spec. and design.

And I would like to ask how many SMS can V800 save?

THanks a lot!

Mine only comes with 1 data account on it (Vodafone gprs), settings for 1 email account and 1 user account and nothing else. The voda gprs works for browsing and pic messages (not that I use those a lot) and the vodafone email runs on the same data account.

I was able to install 2 additional data accounts and 2 additional email accounts without problem. Haven't tried more so don;t know how many it will accept.

Yet have to figure out a way to get my ISP's email addy running as my ISP requires the phone to dial in to the server and this is one thing the phone does not seem to do... at least not for me.

Interesting how you always ask for triple confirmation on any report, except for branding-related remarks, you just accept it as fault of branding.
If you just want the settings fro say. t-mobile to work, you'd need 1 data account and one user account for T Mobile... I fully expect they are set up roughly the same as vodafone.

You'd need extra data accounts if you want, like me, to retrieve data from another server that requires another way of accessing.

By the way has anybody managed to set up a 'dial in' email account for the messages menu?

an article in mobile burn (link below) shows an experimental v800 that has a battery cover with an se raised emblem on it instead of the vodafone talk/quote mark.
can anybody identify a market where that model is actually sold? and, can spare parts be obtained from that market?

@O2
Since you are waiting, well, i could say wait after christmas then( or in Jan 2005 ) you should can get the unbranded V800. But really unconfirmed yet and hope any SE spy told us about this.

Hi! As I said befor, the V800 here in Austria and in Switzerland comes without any Vodafone shell-branding. We have the SE symbol outside, but the same shit of Vodafone software inside. I'll wait to get a unlocked and vodafonde-free V800, if it will be released someday.

Greetings, Alex
