Thanks mate for your help, but I have to give you some precisions:

@baptiste. If your trying to connect the 9500 via Bluetooth to WinXP and you get that error msg, make sure that your using the drivers of your BT adapter that came with it; if its a chipset that is imbedded into your laptop, try installing WidComm drivers as their the best and most universally used that actually work. Windows XP's BT drivers absolutely suck.

I'm not trying to make connection through BT but with the DKU-2, which was included with my 9500. No drivers have to be installed separately. The drivers are included and are installed with the PC Suite 6.6.

Now you did mention that the Phone Manager App in PC Suite does recognize your computers USB connection - you didnt give details if Phone Manager CAN actually use that connection to sync with MS Outlook or not - not sure if Web Outlook or Corporate Edition will work with PC Suite or Exchange Server directly either - but try it if you havent already before you get this message & before trying to connect with BT adapter.

Nokia Phone Manager doe not recognize my phone or what else. Nokia Phone manager simply doesn't work. Each time when I start PM I get the same message it doesn't function.
So PC suite and PM do ot recognize the phone becaus e of the problems with PM.

But when I connect my phone with the dku2 and the pc, I see next to the clock of my computer an icon that says that my pc has found my 9500, but has to be installed.

Am I on the right track with this issue? Not sure if you can isolate this directly with PC Suite just yet, Also download PC Suite 6.6 from Nokia's site if not done so already & also try on another computer with WinXP SP2 at say the computer store just to reference another error or same error msg. That will rule out WinXP as being the instigator - scientific method remember grade 9 hehe, jk but hinting.

I tried it on another computer, with XP pro SP 2 and it works. i've downloaded it each time from the official nokia website from belgium.

ah, i see @baptiste. Cannot beleive i missed this before. Have you installed - but yet uninstalled - an app like Palm sync or blackberry sync on your computer that also syncs with outlook? If so then drivers would conflict. If not then i have no idea what is going on wrong. Again just trying to help. Take a look at what different apps on the other winxp machine has compared to yours. Some thing is very different.

I appreciate your help Prom1, thank you.
There have been no other apps installed on this computer. Only this nokia 9500, untill last week.

Because the fact that I'm sure that my 9500, DKU-2 and PC Suite 6.6 are 100% ok (it worked until last week, and it works on my computer at home), and no one can help me (despite all your efforts ) I think I only have one possibility left: FORMAT C and let reinstall my computer by the IT-service here at work. They will be happy

Hello everyone. Todays topic is Virii & S60. In short I'm just as careful as the next person NOT to accept files via bluetooth from unknown people; but since bluejacking apps can just send a smiley/text msg without your phone asking, its only a matter of time for sending of virii apps that appears to be what your looking for and BAMM your infected.

So I came across another site where a member there has done some sweet testing; Calvin and here is the link:
http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=13153#13153

I personally have run the McAfee Stinger AntiVirus app and was very lucky non were found; given I have several hacked apps. I would suggest reading the entire pages of the link to give an informative view on Anti-Virii Apps.

you can download the Cingular/McAfee Stinger app here on your PC; http://cingular.mcafeemobile.com/

or goto here http://cingular.mcafeemobile.com/dl/Stinger_S60.sis

to download direct to your S60 phone. It is free, currently.

cheers.
PS moderators I posted the link to another forum as I see it is related to this thread here for S60 users; I cant just repost the info & screenshots as that is just plagerism and Calvin should get full credit. Please allow these links to stay if you agree useful and in line to forum rules. Thanks.

The 6630 Music Edition!

It has almost the same color too!

I don't particularly like the W8, since it isn't "smart" enough.....
