I just got my P990i. Can someone please verify if the following site opens in the web browser. The browser always crashes while loading.

www.4gmonline.com also crashes my p990i, organizer firmware R3A04. The error it throws is:
Web
kern-exec
code 0
I've tried a few websites, including image heavy ones, and it's the first time i've seen that error from the web browser.
For now i'd suggest you install opera-mini j2me for accessing the 4gmonline site.

Anyone else verify this? Can some tech savvy guy also let me know why this is happening. Like is there some problem with the site or Opera?

I get the same error on my P990 but my TyTN, and more importantly M600, give a "certificate could not be verified" dialogue and asks if I want to "accept the certificate and proceed".
perhaps its something about that which is causing the P990 a problem

masseur if you could download swissmanager for your m600i, you can get the opera config file for the m600i, and that might hold the ini setting to enable the certificate prompt on the p990.
That's also assuming the P990 and M600 share the same version of opera for UIQ3, but it's worth a shot.
Using Swiss Manager or myfileman, you need to browse to c:\\system\\data\\opera\\opera and copy opera.ini to the user documents folder on your phone mem or pro duo card (D:). Then send it to your pc and either upload the opera.ini file or post it's contents.

Can someone who owns one tell me if the phone is really that bad in every day use? I own a p900 and was waiting to upgrade to the p990.But with this review,im having a lot of doubts as to whether thats a good idea. Is it very difficult to use with one hand? Also do u need the stylus each time u wanted to select something when the flip is open,or can u use the center button? And can sent and draft msg's be seen with the flipped closed?
After reading the review, thinking if n93 would be a better option.Anyone who has owned p900 can tell me if its way too different and difficult to use.
Thanks in advance.

i've been using p990i since august 26, 2006 and this is my first P-Series and only my second SE (K800i) been a nokia user since the Nokia 5110 days.
personally, i am satisfied with the phone. I seldom get the kern exe error.
Out of the box i immediately updated the firmware using SEUS.
Phones have their pros and cons. Prior to my purchase, I have read a lot of terrible reviews. I even know that p990i is not supported by iSync 2.3 but still went on buying.
I took the risk and i would say, that risk is worth it.
I am a happy and satisfied p990i user.
Firmware update will be released anytime soon.
Some features require the stylus.
And yes, i sometimes use it with my 2 hands, the left and the right,

And lastly as far as I knew the P990 will not be Vodafone Live! but I'll try and find out more
Any ideas if it will be 'customised', and if Vodafone (or anyone else) sells contract phones which arnt sim-locked? (I'm in france for the next 3 months, so I have to be able to use a local sim!).

Customized - yes I'm fairly confident it will be. As for unlocked I highly doubt it but not sure
