I seem to be having issues with my WiFi on my phone.
It seems very very slow compared to my Nexus 7. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or is it just my phone?

Mines the other way round, my phones WiFi is faster than my nexus 7's

@Lunion.. it could be a simple reason like your Z1 is using a different channel then your nexus 7. I have this issue a lot with my macbook vs. my PC. the macbook has trouble getting on certain wifi channels while my PC has no problems whatsoever. If I change my router settings and change the channel, my macbook's speed goes back to normal. Not saying this is for sure the reason, but I don't think it has anything to do with your Z1 unless the speed is a huge difference. if it is, then i would be concerned.
I'd try a different channel setting or try a different wifi network to see if the problem persists. Good luck.

@moogoo try this link :
http://scavenger.ch/sonyupdate/
It is updated regularly, so, if there is a new firmware for you, it should appear there.

@lightspeed - thanks. says .290 is the latest for me. just think it's annoying that PCC tells me to update even though it's the same version. you'd think the checks would be more accurate

I've been on the. 136 firmware for a good few weeks now. My phone is network branded so I wonder if its a carrier update only.

mogoo why wont you flash the .136 firmware? head over to XDA, It's really simple.
But on the other hand, rumors say that the kitkat rollout should begin in 5 days.
