ksroy, tama ka dyan. right now i'm sticking to this low end system until makabili ako ng TAG McLaren... how do you find B&W and Energy? Match or no comparison?
dexter, if you ask me, i'd go for optical connection (is that what you mean by fiber?)

@arnold: The Energy Veritas series is amazing. Very sweet sounding and great with jazz and classical music. Some audiophile critics use these as reference speakers. If I'm not mistaken, they're even priced cheaper than the B&W's 800 series. Gwapo pa tingnan. My cousin had a complete setup, and boy was I drooling when I checked them out. But the model he got had some kinks in their woofers so he returned it and got another brand. Mas maganda pa, I think he got the Revel. Hmmmmm, wish I had that much money to splurge.

Dexterc, for short distance connection they say coaxial is better since less conversion of signal unlike optical, electrical to light then electrical again but pang long distances naman sya since madaming losses ang coaxial. Tama po ba ko dun master jedi :-D

@dexter: I personally like the coax cable. Then again, it also depends on the type of coax cables used. Kutchi is right, you take out one step or two steps by using the coax cable because it doesn't need to be converted from digital back to analogue. You have to remember that even if you say DVD discs or cd discs are digital, it still is converted to an analog signal. Remember that most speakers and power amps are in the analog realm. Well I can go on forever in this discussion and still get nowhere. Some people do find that digital toslink cables sound better.
The Avia DVD helps set up your tv to the correct color settings, and your speakers/sub to the correct volume and delay settings.
