My son went in to do his upgrade the other day, he wanted an X10 the same as me, but they had none in stock, after going through the upgrade process, so lent him a brand new sim free desire to try, so he could get used to the software, he loves it, and I have to say it is a very nice handset, but I prefer the larger screen, and the camera to the desires, but after a call to them this morning, to find they have not received their delivery of X10's due to high demand, he has decided to keep his desire. I will stick with my X10 and X10 mini, just received my Brodit car holder for the X10, and have to say it is very nice, holds the phone perfectly, I have always used Brodit products, and never been let down by them yet, always well made and a perfect fit. They now have listed one for the mini as well, so will be ordering that one soon as well.

I prefer the look of the X10 and the size of the screen, both are very well made, very little between them, and the desire has the later 2.1 O/S so has a few better features, can not wait until the X10 gets this update, desire has more screens to customize, but overhaul there is little between them. Had I been in the same situation as my son, I think I would have ended up keeping the desire as well, but always would have thought wether I should have got the X10.

Desire takes very good pics, and video. Has very nice headphones with it, and the screen is easier to keep clean, but as I say very even in every other way, except for the newer O/S.

I chosed x10i just plain becaus it is SEs highend Android phone and its the best they got. never even considred another brand but then again i am somewhat a fanboi and want to buy "swedish"

sure i do miss multitouch (party games mostly, and i think a 6k skr phone should have the latests stuff)
and 2.2 will have flash support, (will take forever for x10i to get that)
i am pleased with 3 screens do i really need more, or do people just want to be abel to have them? there are apps that can give you more screens anyway.

Welp Guys..I had to send my X10 back to SE on Monday. Late friday night the damn thing wouldnt charge. Ive tried everything. My wife has the X10 too,...so I switched batteries, chargers, still nothing. I factory reset, still nothing. What seemed funny though was that while off, while the charger plugged in and then insert the usb charger, the phone would come on. The notifcation light would instantly blink, but woudnt stay on. The battery icon wouldnt change to charging and in setting under battery status it stated "not charging". So some how the out of no where the USB port died. Oh I tried the computer and it still didnt work. Ive never dropped my phone and havent had any problems. It just happened out of no where. I sent it back on Monday, I should have it back on Thursday or Friday. Im not too worked up about it, I have another phone to use, I guess Im gettin all too familiar with sending my phone back to SE. I sent my X1i back to them 7 times cause I kept getting hairline cracks in the housing. Just wanted to share my problems with you guys incase someone else out there ever experience something similar.

Have heard about the charging issue, alittle worried about it, but could be a software issue. There is setting in the secret menu, that allows you to turn the charging on and off, maybe some how that gets changed.
