Two problems with my P990i, latest firmware (R7A...):
The autofocus seems not to work everytime. I point at something, press the button halfway down to focus, but from time to time the camera focus like it should do a close-up photo when there is no close objects around. Misses focus completely, in other words. I haven't experienced this in my previous K750 and W900, and wonder why SE should make a worse focusing system for this newer camera. I thought it was the same thing, just new wrapping...
Second problem: P990 does not work properly with Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB700. No phonebook sync, which makes the "exclusive" handsfree system rather ordinary. A lot more fun to use with my W900, T610, Nokia and Siemens phones. Why on earth can't SE make their flagship phone work properly with their own "flagship" car handsfree system?
My third problem, I won't blame SE for this, but at work we have Windows XP SP 1 on our computer network, and P990's PC Suite requires SP2... Not able to sync. All in all, I was a lot better off using the W900. Camera seems more stable, car handsfree works like it should, no trouble with PC sync... Not to mention video playback. Has anyone been able to get a full-length movie running on their P990? At least the ones I made for W900 (320x240) don't work on the P990. Is the RAM a limitation?
