Because a lot of proto units , have old type of procesor , because it is cheaper to build a proto unit with old hardware. When the prototypes were ready for the market , better procesor and better hardware were installed.
Am I right Santa_Claus?

ok i didn't think about them usin the old cpu for a prototype that makes a lot of sense.
but why wouldn't you want to test out the new cpu? unless you are already testing it on another device mayb?

anyway.. i welcome the x2 faster cpu or not.. the keyboard looks like a treat to type on.. and i'd love to try it out
the keyboard is the main reason i got my x1 and was very disappointed with it's performance..
i'm down to using my phone as an all touch at this point the keyboard is soooo frustrating

New Xperia, based on Android OS, with technical specifications on expansys http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=185317

Sharp.
Take pictures with razor sharp detail, thanks to the 8 mega-pixel camera. The built LED light helps takes images in poor lighting conditions while the touch focus capability makes sure your shots are always in focus.

Media.
Immerse yourself in entertainment. The brilliant 4" high resolution display lets you view your videos and photographs in stunning detail.

Video.
Experience DVD quality video capture. Record video at high resolution VGA (640 x 480 pixels) and at a smooth 30 frames per second.

Navigation.
Find new places around you. Assisted GPS (AGPS) technology works in conjunction with navigation software to help you find our way and discover new places around you.
