i'm not sure i know what phone u're talking about.
anyways, how about this successor to w880 - being released same time as sofia. w880 (black edition) & k810 was released around the same time some parts of the world. see a pattern?

haven't been in this thread for a few days, and now where we're at? man, this thread really moves along. what is this w880 'black edition' that's being bandied about? any photos? how come I've never heard of it?

Like i really wanna purchase a SE phone... but then the waiting is pissing me off... i was expecting a K850i... for the last announcement... n they end up with mid-low end phones... ?
Any specifics on whens the next release n specific products that are being release? Like if a 5mp K850i or a new high end walkman would make my year...

Because people have hold of the phones for testing, they are also sent out from SE to operators and vendors prior to release for evaluation etc. Eldar from Mobile Review has been known to get such info weeks before the official annoucement!!
After the K750i / Clara pictures appeared things tightened up somewhat but info does filter through from reliable sources.
