Hmmm, spoke to T Mobile again today & decided against doing the second line & paying off the old line. My original contract as I got it with a Desire HD 12 months ago is 3 giga bytes per month of data!! The new contracts now with T Mobile have been dropped to 500mb

per month. What a crock of shit!! So am glad I am staying with the original number. T Mobile said even with Android phones 500mb is enough. I think not

& they said people were abusing it. For some reason I thought I had 1 gig per month.

a colleague just got a bill from Orange for nearly £160 for going 70mb over his 500mb allowance!
After some discussion they wiped that clear as long as he paid a fiver a month extra for another 500mb/month. so he's now paying £10/month for 1gb.
I have 50mbit Virgin at home but I have a Three Mifi for out and about and that has 5gb/month for £8

Wow that's good value!! Good thing about T Mobile is they never charge you if you go over your limit. I will never go over 3 gig!! As for Orange they are stingy when it comes to data still & many people have been stung for using data abroad not realising they were sending & receiving data whilst abroad from apps etc.. Three UK is the best for data still. I read about the Orange businessman who had data roaming on his iphone & it run up £4000

@masseur how much data & which network do you get with your 4s?? I think networks are charging too much for going over allowances per MB.

I'm not on long contract. can't do those. I'm on a rolling monthly contract with the usual 500mb on tmob which is no where near enough for my needs hence the mifi which also serves my ipad and laptop if needed.

Ah,I always thought you were a contract man. I am happy with T Mobile contract never had any issues with them & then I just buy phones sim free in the meantime before main upgrade.

What's your average mb usage per month? I've never used my O2 sim in a smartphone, so I hardly use any of the 500mb allowance I have with the
