heh..
oh no.. a company that wants to keep it's new tech/features for its NEW, yet to be released device..
what a horrible company. any real company would take all the new features of their new devices and port it to their older ones right away!

Really? Why do I own a tablet z, Sony TV, ps3 and that then? I was gonna get the Z2 but I thought if the Z1 gets the same processing in the camera as the Z2 then I'd consider getting it as you can pick them up quite cheaply now.

You miss my point! I didn't expect then to port 4k or timeshift video or tap to wake but I did expect them to port the camera algorithm.

the point is there is improvement in the camera quality. Which has already defeat the whole point of your post. Those tiny "cross" processing artifacts are almost entirely gone now in 20 MP full res shots.

Upadated my Z1 on 4.4, camera improvements are real, pictures have less noise, and are better.
But, this software is very buggy, my phone is often totally unresponsive and camera interface bugs, it changes to video recording by itself even if i am taking pictures. Battery drains 5x faster then with 4.3

@Northmonkey The Z1 is still the best Android camera phone on the market and has just got better thanks to the Kitkat update till the Z2 is released and how many people do you think will be scrutinising every single image they take probably less than 5% most people will just point and shoot and be more than happy with the results, ie myself and the majority of all Z1 users.

No update here yet, guess this explains the 7xx version of the software which is testing, probably addresses the bugs.
