I do have a mac, but only because its the only platform for iphone development which I am still teaching myself in my spare time. Having been a developer for 30+ years I see it as maybe a bonus to my eventual retirement

I only remember my dad from pics and anecdotes from my mum (I was 7) so its hard to be upset.

strangely, I've been up the last 5 Friday evenings working on financial exchange software changes and though I've slept well in the weeks in between I find myself up late tonight even though I have no work to do (currently watching old episodes of Lost!)

edit: @Marly... you're an hour ahead... go to bed! (btw, I worked in Rotterdam, Utrecht and Nijmegen in the past... where are you?)

Can't go to bed, I'm working , nightshift in the hospital and it's a quiet night.

Sittard is my hometown, in the deep south of NL, halfway between Maastricht and Roermond.

aha, I do know Sittard a little... but I know nurses better and remember my nurse girlfriends mostly because of the "pyjamas" uniforms they wear here in UK and in Aus

My last nurse girlfriend was at GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) and I totally loved to pass through there to the nurses residence as I could see what great work they did (and still do) for the kids. Its still one of the few causes I support since those times.

@Miss UK, I do prefer iOS over WM but I can only speak with experience up to WM 6.5 as I have no experience with the latest Windows phone 7 o/s, though I am now keen to try.

but the problem these days is always not the os, but the eco-system. I rely so heavily on synchronisation with my content (music, videos, pictures) as well as video podcasts and more and so far only itunes gives that to me. I don't get why other manufacturers target only the hardware and don't try to address this issue

I had a Samsung Windows phone for abit before I got the wildfire
tbh I chose to send it back though as it wasn't really responsive on the screen
or nothing it was a good design but such a let down!

the new HTC windows phones are really nice I had a play with a trophy I think it was
it ran smooth was very quick im intrested in the next development in windows by sure as it
promises to be really good

atm happywise with my phones the will be getting chop soon
its just sitting doing nothing I wasnt to pleased with the update on it 2.3

iTunes is really good for podcasts I tend to listen to alot of them
alot of artists do them these days

WP7 has Zune to synchronise with and I've read, it works a bit like iTunes, can't compare them myself though, never used iTunes. You have 25GB of storage in the cloud (SkyDrive), but I still have to get used to the fact, that WP7, like iOS, doesn't support memory cards, which my old phones all did.

edit: I have a Trophy and it's very smooth and fast indeed.

An ambulance is coming in, so there's work to do. There's been a fire and someone inhaled too much smoke, but apparently it's not too serious, nothing we can't fix .

Goodnight, Miss UK and masseur, it's been nice talking to you.

Wow the late night chat room. Mass thats sad about you're dad at that age i thought losing my mom at 55 was still young but 27 is terrible. Same age as Jim Morrison from The Doors. And i always noticed that someone famous always dies around Christmas or New Year. As for Windows 7 its great but WMP is always buggy and like an Android app constantly forcing close. Nurse Marly what's the best remedy for bad stomach?? I just woke up this morning early being sick in the bathroom Not pleasant.
