I think its a software problem rather than SEUS problem for some reason. Did you install anything around the time SEUS stopped working?

Suffering exactly the same problem, have removed and re-installed everything but no luck, I think it may be a SEUS thing but could just as easily be an update to Java or something but quite frustrating at the moment

Send it in to SE/Carrier or if no warranty, go to
http://www1.davinciteam.com and flash with a new firmware. Check on the site for instructions.

I also have the same problem as you.
Im on O2 and since updateing the phone to R1EA031 ive had nothing but problems/.
The first few days for me were fine, I thought gr8, phone is faster and so on.
Thats where it ends.
My phone does nothing but crash, I get on average 2-4 boots a day.
The phone is sat on my table at work and visable all the time. You dont have to do anything to the phone and the phone reboots. As you said, the screen goes white and then the keyboard just lights up.
My phone is constantly switching it self back to the o2 default theme and no it keeps saying that the memroy card isnt there. ** However i dont even have to switch the phone of an on, i just go back into filemanager and the memory card is there by magic.
On occasions the phone has switched it self of which is anoying as i then get missed calls or not releasing due to the screen being black in the first place.
** Sorry to say that R1EA031 is a pile of c*ap and more bug ridden than R1DA038 and R1CA037
My battery life has improved to 3+ days over R1DA038 howeveron R1DA038 my phone never ever crashed at all.
When you write to SE is a waist of time as you get the same reply.
SE have now have months to get a firmware thats sort of bug free, but they add more and more.
Watching a video is still out of sync. This a flag ship model that cant do a video correctly.
My mates £50 Mobile can play the video with out a problem.
Its becoming a joke and not a funny one.

Its another little quirk with the phone. or a bug on SE behalf

I updated the 031 yesterday after debranding to 037 and using SEUS to update and so far have been bug free, had one 'operation failed' moment, but that was sorted after switching off and back on again. Battery life is a definite improvement over 038 and with HSDPA switched on i'm still getting a better life than with just GSM on 038. Camera also seems to be improved

Have been following another thread for answers on the p990 and its starting to sound uncomfortably familiar, particularly the rebooting and lack of stable firmware.
