hey guys
i have a really annoying bug on my phone.. when pressing the "down" or "left" key, the phone often chooses/activates the right touch button :S (I don't touch it!) In many cases this is the back option and it begins to be really frustrating.
Anything i can do about this? a software update from t-mobile 037 to 038 didn't fix it..
i have a different version of your problem. when pressing down, the middle softkey activates. Then it become worst - when shaking the d-pad or even a slight touch, the middle softkey activates.I surrendered my phone in an SE center for repairs.
I noticed something when the problem started - the keypad is slightly opening from the lower part. Well, that means that when the keypad is not in good contact with the keypad terminals, problems like that will appear.

It's dissappointing. Before and after upgrading of firmware, my phone has died on me twice in two weeks. My phone is in the service centre now. They are evaluating whether to change motherboard for me.

Unless SE does something soon, their flagship K850 may go down as one of their biggest disappointments. While I am one of the few lucky ones that is not affected by most of the bugs, the scope of people experiencing problems (and I am not talking about the slightly inaccurate colour representation) is shocking. I wonder how this will define the brand in a couple of years from now. I am loosing faith in my favorite mobile brand by every blue circle of death I read about.

paul-d - I've just had the Exact same problem. I was actually using my phone (031 firmware) trying to get directions using google map and then it just stopped responding. All I could see was that the keyboard was lit up and nothing else. After I left it like that for a few minutes I tried pushing some buttons but nothing would make it do anything so I had to pull the battery out. After leaving it with no battery for a a bit I put the battery in and tried to start it up - all I get now is the keypad is lit up and the Blue Ring of death.... SEUS won't update it because after staying at 0% for a minute it errors out

My problem is that I bought the phone online with no contract so I have no provider to call for support

I really REALLY wish SE would release a more reliable phone! This is absolutely absurd.
Tervel I've just had the exact same problem. I was on a call when the phone just died, vibrated and then the keypad at the "Blue Ring of Death" was lit up. Doesn't matter what you do with the phone, it just stays like that. Turning the on/off button does nothing. Only way to get the phone to turn off is to take the battery out. I'm back to using my old reliable k800 now, which is annoying. I've been using the latest -031 firmware and up until this point haven't had any issues whatsoever (not even any restarting... nothing, except for the general slowness of the phone and the poor implimentation of Bluetooth audio), then today I had two unusual restarts before this complete failture. I'm having the same problems re: SEUS. Did you end up finding a solution?

This was on the phone that took a plunge into water though, not the new one(was the first week it was out, not sure of the revision)....the new one has run flawless with the latest firmware.Someone else mentioned the time stamp that used to be in the pictures, since I have had mine that hasnt been in the K850i unbranded software which was a feature I liked on the k800i.

Just saw the red led under the power button on my old K850i, but in my case this amounted to a bad battery as I switched it out and on came the phone.
