spek, if I remember correctly, you are the one who said there would be only 1 more flagship this year (sorry if it was not you).

new display filter and mva panel, x1 ultimate, better factory calibration, conventional FALD vs Backlight master on older gen and an ugly stand
performance: better viewing angle, better IQ and resolved a lot of 9D issues (banding eg..)
cledis may not appear on consumer level for a long time...

Nokia HMD, OnePlus, Tecno, Xiaomi, Infinix and Huawei were the key fast-growing brands for the quarter. Lenovo, Gionee, Micromax and Sony registered the highest shipment volume declines in Q2 2018.
A sale will probably happen if not next year, maybe the year after that. Sony doesn't move fast enough in mobile, and they are to blame for that. If one arm is gangrene, no point in risking the body to save the arm, might as well amputate to save the rest.

Yeah, I'm impressed by the viewing angles of the new Z9F. Some people are upset that it doesn't use the backlight master drive system anymore, and that apparently the peak nits value will be lower than the Z9D, but I can live with that considering the benefits the TV gives. The major complaint people have so far is the black levels, based on the recent event in New York some people think won't be very good. Oh well, wait and see
