I agree. Not exactly an awful bug, but it is an unexpected 'feature'.

I can load from both phone and card memory.

I always do.

I tend to agree with others in that the problems caused by the bugs in the phone are being highly exagerated by a number of people of late. None of the bugs are particularly serious - they are all just slightly annoying.

For the love of God - make the player EXCLUDE RINGTONES!
Hmm, my media player isn't showing my ringtones. I have them in phone memory in the "Ringtones" folder.

Hi, i have had my k800 roughly a month now, ordered it the day o2 got it in their warehouse. So now people on vodafone and other networks are getting the same phone.
I noticed that on a vodafone phone, there are green and red hang up and answer buttons instead of my web browser and quick menu buttons. I was wondering if anyone knew how i could change this, i am assuming it is a firmware mod and if there is one available it would be brilliant. I'm sure we all know how frustrating it is to accidentally hit the web browser and it starts connecting to the internet.

Any info would be appreciated...even a definate "no it can't be done" would stop me thinking about it

We'll i guess u could flash your fone with the vodafone firmware... not sure where u'd get ur hands on that, but generally people want to debrand their phones rather than brand them...

Wotanservers has t-mobile firmwares, but i'm not sure they have the green and red call/end call buttons.

One thing that i have noticed on my K800i is that it wont match the name to a number for one contact. I dont know why and have triple checked the number and it is fine. There seems to be no reason. I cahnged the number in my phone book to have +44 in front of it, as that is how it comes through from the network, and it did put the name onto a text that I had already received from that person but as soon as I received another text from them it changed all the texts back to just showing the phone number.

I solved this problem for my girlfriends k800 by selecting 'Auto save on SIM'.

>Contacts > More > Options > Advanced > Auto save on SIM > ON

Maybe it will work for you?

One bug that I cannot find listed here for R1CB001 is about the notes application. It cannot handle more than 6 notes correctly. If a 7:th note is inserted, it's not shown in the list of notes. Instead, the 6:th note is displayed twice. If I delete one of those entries, both disappears, and the previously missing 7:th note magically reappears again.

The media player only reads all files from the memory stick. If you place your ringtones inside the phone memory, the media player will ignore the ringtones.

As for firmware issues - it's about time that the phone is due for an update. It's been more than a month. Dedicated people working out the bugs on this phone every day should be more than enough for an organization like SE to roll out an update.
