guys, i already had my phone updated to R9EC001 but the one i got for my wife is still in R7A. its a phone of bugs..really. i want to update it also but the thing is, at start up, i have SE logo animation, while the one i bought for her has Mobile Assistant screen with blue sky and clouds and all. and on the flip i have the P990i sticker while she has swisscom.. is it also possible to update that phone? or is it locked? needs reply asap since her phone is already connected to my laptop as of the moment ready to click on update.

New PCSuite is out, I'm downloading now (1.3.11). The page still displays the older version number but the link points to the new version.
Could this be an indication of a fw update real soon?

New SEUS updater version is 2.7.4.8
No update for World Generic 1 yet.
P.S. For those who want to use SEUS in flip open mode, the "c" key on the keyboard works.

First impressions about the new PCSuite:
1- It looks the same as the previous version.
2- Update Service button still says "the application has not been installed yet". They could have at least gotten rid of this button
3- File Manager: useless as before
4- Mobile Networking Wizard works with USB but can't find the phone using Bluetooth even though PCSuite had no problem connecting and m-Router monitors the Bluetooth port..
5- Backup looks the same as before. However, even after the backup is finished (the phone has to reboot for the backup) the phone remains in the backup state... or so it says on the screen. You have to unplug the USB cable for the phone to reboot to normal mode.
We'll see if the Restore is any better than before after the fw update.
6- There are two visible difference (or should I say audible), one is that some voice feedback has been added. It confirms connection and such.
Now PCSuite detects whether the phone is connected in "Phone" mode or "File Transfer" mode and the horizontal bar that used to turn green now turns green for "Phone" mode and "Orange" for "File Transfer mode.
The icons at the top mode have a green frame indicating that they are only active in "Phone" mode whereas the icons at the bottom have orange frames.
To sum it up, unless the backup/restore section got a serious workover this update to the PCSuite looks like a cosmetic update and as such is a waste of time and certainly does not satisfy any of our complaints.
It's not worse than the older one though and perhaps the backup/restore section has been revised - I hope we'll soon find out

i have no problems at all with the new pc suit i did a backup and use all functions and use my p990i as modem and i surfed the web with my p990i as a client via bluetooth and everything went perfect..
