@kimcheeboi

Quantum Mechanics, not metaphysics. The case of the cat isn't all that strange when one understands the underlying principles.

YOU mr meths, have some dodgy html in your last posts (probably by editing it when the quote was there) which has caused the page to break

It's all your fault!

It's all OK now, thanks to @massuer, so all the toys can go back in the pram.

Indeed it probably was. However, i also stood up, and admitted my error to masseur who kindly fixed it. OKAY?

People who quote extensive examples pertaining to quantum mechanics in posts to the Esato forum might wish to note that very few will read their posts and fewer still will understand them.

so the simplest way i can explain the situation is this...
there is a cat inside of this box (you can not see into the box nor can any cameras) also inside of the box is this device that has a 50/50 chance of going off and a small nuclear reaction takes place and the cat dies.. the other chance is that the cat is alive..
the basic principle of quantum physics is that everything represents features of a wave and a particle depending how it is measured. and it is the consciousness measuring that decides either how fast something is moving, or where it is.. but you can't determine both.. the more you know about one the less you know about the other..
anyways..
after five or so minutes the device either goes off or does not, however logic tells us there is either a living or a dead cat inside, quantum physics says at this point there is a superposition of a live and dead cat inside, and when we open the door the cats fate is truly determinate and sealed.
can you believe in a living/dead cat existing?
