Having previously had the Desire HD I can honestly say the camera was awful. It has blurry out of focus shots. I still though prefer my new White X10 over the Arc design wise and also in terms of how too thin and light the Arc is. One thing I have read up on in terms of Exmor sensor is in alot of expert digital camera reviews I have read them stating that Exmor sensor has worsoned the image noise in low light. This is a common problem with back lit sensors. Apparently. @toneyericsson you have not changed your username yet to ToneyHTC

I'll try to check two videos, one from GSMArena and one from SE-first.

@Toney_Ericsson (or should I say Toney_HTC, thanks Sean!), yeah, that's shit! but hey, maybe the photographer didn't take the picture well. and yes, there's room for improvement. after all, it has not yet released.

Yeah yeah yeah it's going to have the "______ ENGINE" and Exmor-R sensor so the clueless consumer like you goes and buys it.

The Arc didn't take them photos or videos its all a lie

Im far from the 'clueless consumer'... but I wont bother arguing that with you.

Bravia Engine, Exmor-R sensor, Retina display, Carl Zeis lens, bla bla bla... Its called marketing, every company does it, and, like you said, the 'clueless consumer' buys into it all the time. So, why not do it?

My point is, Arc is still a pre-release handset. Sure people are welcome to DISCUSS these things, but not the way your going about it... Like I said, wait til its released before you have that final judgement...

Good idea. You would be arguing with someone who has developed a hatred for anyone who wants to buy a phone.

I think he sees it as a personal attack on his decision making ability.

That gives a pretty good insight into his mental state.

Hey Toney, you need to relax a little..... No one's going to buy an Arc just to spite you

Sample Arc photos look similar to the X10, but if you blow them up full size they're definitely sharper, that may be something to do with the noise reduction on the X10. They also appear sharper at the edges, which is where the X10 fall down sometimes (photos can be softer or out of focus towards the far edges).

Colours need sorting thou, maybe tweak the firmware is they're a bit washed out.

C'MON, does anybody really believe that SE will manufacture anything close to N8 in photo quality? Not in 2011. Exmor-R means nothing, if you keep reducing sensor size to ridicuosly small levels. Ans Sony does just that. Their 16.4mp has got even smaller cells than 8mp. 16.4mp photos in future cam. flagship will be ok only in good light conditions and for strobe shots with iso up to 200.

Sounds like we have a new sealover.... Toney, do you think you are going to be taken seriously when all your post is nothing but brainless complaining. Have you made it your mission to trash SE and people who like them just because you think SE "betrayed" you. One word, childish.

No, why? did someone say that?

I can't wait for the day you can get N8 quality in a phone as thin as the Arc. Nokia really went all out on that one.

At least back illuminated sensors are a step forward though.

I thought the x10 camera was poor till I realised I had two bad batch phones with the lens out of focus. But sometimes I do notice the edges of photos on x10 are slightly blurry but looking at the photos full on you would hardly notice. I am not making an Arc photo judgment just yet its too early. But anyway who looks at their photos at 100% zoom anyway??

One thing I hope they sort out with the Arc camera is sometimes on x10 their is a strange pinkish tint to photos

Good post Bonovox, you've hit the nail on the head. Unless you look at the photos at their original size you wouldn't even notice it.

I'm still surprised that SE haven't tweaked the sensor on the C905 and put that into the X10/Arc, that was an awesome camera (better than X10), lovely exposure and sharpness and a big lens. Maybe it was too large to incorporate into the phone.

C905 was the best SE camera phone.
