Theres an app on the market called LCD Resolution that requires root where you can increase/decrease your screens resolution.

Yeah, a lot of ROMs come with different resolution options... What DPI you set at Hobbs?

Proper dying to get back to Android but unsure if work will come through with the G-Nexus, its 200 quid upfront as its an additional line on the existing share... Even with that phone I'll be rooting and whacking a custom ROM on with all the trimmings...

With LCD Resolultion I put the density on 180 (640x1066). You can go lower than that but then things like the icons in your notification area start doing wierd things like blurring, overlapping ect But 180 for me was perfect.

I cant say I did.Used it on my X10 which feels like ages ago (only a week). Now with the beautiful screen on this G2 I cant even remember how my X10's screen looked.

The only problem with the display is the low dpi, pixeleted text on websites etc

dpi change can hammer the battery so be careful..besides the fact that the screen res is good enough on the gs2 as it is...also remember that if you change the dpi some apps will look funny (white pixelly lines...even icon cracks).

I dont use it on the G2.It doesnt like the Samsung Touchwiz homescreens. You need to use a third 3rd party launcher.

Yeah, I've never used it personally but some people seem to swear by it and HAVE to change the DPI...

I disagree, the resolution doesn't compare with the iPhone and it;s one of the factors that lets the phone down, every other aspect of the display is stunning.
