^ which is very important
I use my phone for audio recording quite a bit... the only issue was that the built in audio recorded didn't take advantage of rich recording, so every time I wanted to record some music played live, I had to turn on the camera.
Just found this:
http://store.ovi.com/content/357740
from the same guys who made camera pro, obviously they know how to code for Symbian very well.
This thing turns the 808 into an amazing audio recording device.
Features:
- Uncompressed recording with up to
96kHz in stereo!
- Optimized for Nokia 808 PureView (but works well on other devices too!)
- Codecs: uncompressed
PCM audio, AAC, AMR
- Formats: WAV, 3GP, MP4
- Settings for: mono, stereo, bit rates, storage location, input (microphone, voice, FM-ratio (FP1 only), etc.)
I just tested it and it works great... recommended for anyone who needs audio recording only.

1 year later.. I am yet to find a better smartphone for my needs. Very happy with the work Nokia did on this device, and I am glad they released it to the public.. for a moment there I thought we will never see it.

You could easily find one.. amazon, ebay.. for under $400, there are still plenty of units out there.
I am not sure if they are still in production tho.. it might in "until supplies last" mode at this point. I plan on getting a second spare unit at some point.

^ the WP version (EOS) is supposed to come out towards the end of summer... the 808 will get cheaper and cheaper, and that will make it harder to resist.
I wish Nokia would at least share the specs on the EOS so we know what to expect at least.. and maybe some images to compare the IQ
lemmy can you share that green wallpaper with us ? Looking good
if you ever want to venture out in to the CFW world, I recommend this one:

If anything, the Nokia Pure font from the N9 looks much better than the stock font.
Also, make sure to apply the latest 3G update:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.co[....]e_FP2_devices_get_a_3G_net.php
It helps with the HSPA bug, if you have it.. your 808 might be a newer built.
Also, I see that you are using the contact scroll widget.. I used to use it as well, but I've been using the new single contact thing and its working better for me.. one tap for call/text
