About the photos :
- garden shots : typical 12MP looking. You look at it you see it is from 12MP phone.
- garden ultra wide : similar to wide, more noise on edges.
- garden 2.9x : hardware is weak, would not expect much more. Sensor is worse than front camera of X.
Fish: bit underexposed because the shutter 1/60, not good but not bad. At least dish looks white, no warm colours like previous under artificial light.
Child : low noise on face, bit more on hair, toy looks good for iso320, carpet texture is nothing bad
- toys : first photo is good. Bear is overexposed, doll looks great for iso160, you see see texture on the yellow flower.
- toys ultra wide : not good, not bad. It would be better with slower shutter, it used 1/60s
- toys 2.9x = looks worse than digital zoom
- daylight city: impossible to judge, shutter 1/5000s and 1/8000s. Too dark. I have know idea if he was playing with settings.
- night photo: look at right part of pic, white house with tiles on the wall, also texture of other walls.
- movie room : there's some noise of course (iso640), floor looks good (you see individual pieces of woods).
- movie room ultra wide : very soft , bad photo
- movie room 2.9x : Bit better than witra wide
Bonus: looks like tomorrow aony will publish the final data of fiscal year. So we will see how big the virus was on xperia. Previous quarter was 1.300.000 units.

Photos are typical Sony but they amped the details, outdoor daylight details absolutely kill iPhone 11 both wide and ultrawide. If you've been rooting for Xperia to get image stacking like results when shooting hotspots or leveling overall exposure difference you will be disappointed all over again.

you have to accept that these samples are from this particular person. when it comes to photo samples and photos in general, the quality varies with the individual photographer.
this is especially true with sony phones, which are much better in manual modes than in their auto modes. other OEMs are much better in auto mode and give you a good result very easily.
which you prefer is very subjective. but i would not say these samples are bad. and definitely not something i would use to judge the quality of x1m2
