Am still concerned if SE will sort this problems with another P-Series model or if it will sort them out with firmware upgrades...

What do you guys think?

I've spoken to a (dutch) Sony Ericsson representative about this, and he claimed there are currently no plans for a succeeding model. He also said SE strives to get the P990 as stable as the P900/P910 within a matter of months, which on one hand sounds good, yet on the other hand sounds ... well, you know.

There's still the question of whether a NL-based representative really knows what's going on up there in Sweden.

@endeler

I don't use the Jot hand writting recognition (ie I switched it off), and my P990 is very quick.

Haha, i actually dropped my p990 on friday, had the handsfree, and the phone was on the table. I moved the chair back and BAM! The phone was on the floor lol! Not even a scratch though!

They just released the P990 in Saudi Arabia 2 days ago. I found it for the price of $US 854 (674 Euro/ £458). The phone comes with a 1 GB MS Pro Duo.

Do all P990s come with 1 GB?

Just like the M600 which was released a while back over here, there's still no Arabic support. I did find a thread here with tips on how to enable reading Arabic on the M600/P990, but it still doesn't provide a soloution for Arabic input.

I asked if SE will be releasing a P990 with Arabic support, the salesman at Axiom said that they'll definately do so... However he didn't know if this would include a physical Arabic keyboard as opposed to just a software based keyboard.

Anyone know anything about the possibility of an Arabic keyboard? I've never owned a P series phone before, and I tried to find out if there was ever a P910 with an Arabic Keyboard but I couldn't find it in the market.
