Ha mine just updated, so far I see there is more battery drain, will see how it it over the next few days.

I like the lack of too status bar, cleans up the screen. Runs faster esp when unlocking when the device is on the cradle. Overall UI is more fluid, camera does seem slower, will see how good the shots are tomorrow. But so far so good, not a fan of the new life wallpapers, the colours are meh.

i just wanted to say, that the xperia z1 is as good as every other smartphone on the market.

steareo speaker on a smartphone? bullshit! how much more gimiks do you want!
snapdragon 801 ? back in 2013 it was called snapdragon 800 AB and AC, clocked a bit higher, 2 fps gains in the benchmark, so still the same. identical to the "normal snapdragon 800"
2gb of rams
3000mha battery
awesome screen (don't give a shit about the viewing angles, as much as they try to make them important in the tech site, the only time I look at my phone from extreme angle, is when I visit this sites, and start checking my screen. head on the screen is awesome with colors that are supernatural and beautiful.
it has the best camera on the android market till date (and we will get the 4K from ports)

you know what? sony could have realsed the Z1 now as the flagship, and it would be ok for them.
don't let software gimmicks and marketing names affect you guys. the Z1 is still a flagship phone in every other aspect, think of the z2 as a Z1 variant for another market, because to be honest, it has nothing different.

So I have had the chance to have a quick play around with my Z1 running KitKat now and one thing I think is great is the new massive range of emoticons in the text message section there are now well over 100 to choose from and some are very usefull, there is also a new smoother animation when sending a text aswell. The camera feels faster and smoother to operate with a slight UI re-design in the camera apps section. I haven't found any bugs yet but the camera seems to load slower via the lock screen and that is about the only negitive I can find so far. I will need a couple of days to see if there is any improvement in the battery life but over all my first impressions are very good.
