Thinking of getting another p990 now but this time a vodafone branded one......Ami rite in thinking its not possible to flash it with unbranded firmware through the update service?
Also does anyone know if it branded firmware or just branded on the casing?
Thanks

no, its not possible to debrand using SEUS
almost certainly the firmware will be branded, with startup and shutdown screen and preset data accounts if they stick to their usual P series changes
you might also want to check if it is locked as the couple of vodafone P910 I had briefly were locked and voda fone may do the same with the P990

Can see that being especially nasty on the P990i - I would imagine they have locked the Voda GPRS settings as the top priority for the internet account group stopping you from setting wlan as the first priority.

Oh god I hope not. If that's the case I'm returning mine.

I have some really good news for those located in Athens, Greece. I have checked again with the main providers such as Vodafone GR, TIM GR, Cosmote GR, including also several shops and is the first time that they ALL give the same release to be the date of
18th-19th of September. You can check ie
www.vodafone.gr and
www.plaisio.gr as well as
www.germanos.gr
It was about time, cause my old P900 that I have for three years is starting to give up and shuts down.

Any news yet on UK networks release (heard 12-13th...)? I've got 2-3 upgrades due, and want to get a TyTN, p990 and Motorola K1 KRZR.
I'll decide between the TyTN and p990i myself, and keep the KRZR until i get bored of it.
The networks i'm waiting for are 02, T-mobile and Voda
P.S: quick question (a bit off topic), whats the name of the o2 model of the TyTN? Must be XDA something??? Thanks
