I can't believe a network locked phone has it before the sim free variant. When I checked PC companion ther was no sign of the update however I done mine through SUS which I tend to find gets the updates a little quicker.

I have tried PC Companion and SUS but neither have the update for my Z1. Whats your customisation number?

in the phone dialler type *#*#7378423#*#*
A menu will appear, click on Software Info.
Customisation version is about half way down the page.

@jcwhite_uk mines sim free to but this has been happening with Sony for ages now, all operator variants have to be approved and out before the sim free one because all networks have to work on the sim free handsets
