Re: Flickering...
I noticed that flickering is normal while the unit is being charged. It seems to pulsate a little indicating that there is power coming in. It becomes obvious because of the T610's briliant colors. Flickering is considered a problem when it continues after the external power is disconnected. (give it a few seconds to stop after disconnection).
My T610 flickers even after the charger (Car or wall) has been disconnected. All 6 units bought with 03w24 to 03w25 show this symptom. My unit (w25) is the brightest of the batch and the flicker is obvious. I just cant explain why the flickering sometimes stops even when surfing or sending files via bluetooth.
These are the things to look out for before buying your "Precious"
1. Lines or circlular patterns in camera mode (you can just point it at a white background such as the box of the phone)
2. Dead Pixels (These are small white dots on the screen that will not go away in any menu)
3. Uneven keypad lighting (if it doesnt bother you that its uneven, dont consider this)
4. Snug fit of the battery cover (mine's loose compared to the others)
5. Centered joystick (Doesnt really matter to me)
6. Whiteness of the screen. Some are just yellowish or whiter than others. But then again, I had the luxury to compare all six.
7. Do not buy a 03w20 unit. (There's a chance you'll get a hissing phone) I replaced one unit due to dead pixels and was replaced with this production batch. Of course its hissing, still waiting for replacement. Type 03w20 in the Search Esato field on your left and you'll see its a global problem. Better get w21 and up
If I missed out on some things, please add.

Yup. Pero as per Ms.Gie of Semicon Main, normal DAW ang flickiring screen sa t610 as per Sony Ericsson Philippines.
Kya no need na, to replace my unit.
naging normal sya kasi lahat ng t610 ganoon? my t610 doesnt flicker that much.. or actually i hardly notice it.

When i got my t610 replaced at Semicon last week i did check the phone for the "flickering" problem and the new unit didn't had until 2 days later. So i got fed up and decided to leave it as it is. It's not easy to travel from Manila to Marcos Highway. I will only return if they have found a SOLID solution to it.

if you test the phone before buying, then you wil haev to charge it for a few mins, wont that screw up the initial charge?

It should not screw up initial charge for it is using a lithion ion polymer battery... charge whenever, wherever, no memory effect, best when left in charger and removed only when necessary for maximum performance.
