I just received a message from the Sony Ericsson Call Center in the Netherlands, stating that "while the first series P990 were shipped with the BST-34 battery, changes in the production plans have led to subsequent batches being shipped with the BST-33 only. This will not change in the future."

Can anyone call their local SE representative and try to get this comfirmed?

Any news yet on UK networks release (heard 12-13th...)? I've got 2-3 upgrades due, and want to get a TyTN, p990 and Motorola K1 KRZR.

I'll decide between the TyTN and p990i myself, and keep the KRZR until i get bored of it.

The networks i'm waiting for are 02, T-mobile and Voda

P.S: quick question (a bit off topic), whats the name of the o2 model of the TyTN? Must be XDA something??? Thanks

TyTn - already out on VF and T-Mob, I have one on T-Mob.
P990 - VF out today, they have 2 weeks exclusivity I believe. O2, end of Sept and T-Mob are not doing the P990 AFAIK.
KRZR - VF 27th September, O2 Sept (unpsecified date), no newsd on T-Mob
TyTn on O2 is called Trion and O2 UK have not so far offically confirmed that they'll make it available although O2 Germany have it.
I've played with the KRZR and I love it, will definitely acquire one as a weekend phone.

For those guys looking to get one on Voda - the one I saw this afternoon in my local Vodafone store was unbranded (both software wise and externally) - and confirmed by the sales rep - for at least the first few weeks all the handsets will be generic and unbrandedand not Live!'d up.

Would assume the situation with Voda direct is probably the same at the moment, so I say fill yer boots before they get the nasty crippled branded stock in.

Has anyone been successful at running Blackberry Conect on the p990i in the US through t-mobile? I have a p910a, and I love it, and it successfully runs BB connect so I have my work email pushed to me. Has anyone upgraded to the p990i in the US and is running BB connect on it through T-mobile and BES server at work?

If they only are talking about the Netherlands I don't know if they are telling the thruth but if they are talking about the p990 in all europ they are full of BS! I got mine the 7:th of august... the absolut first batch that came to stores in sweden.. and my phone has a BST-33!

That's the biggest issue I have with the whole deal... The memoryleaks and bugs can all be fixed with new FW but the battery can't. Gah!

Voda - £35 p/m - 1000 texts - 500 mins - phone was free.

From what i have used of the phone it looks awesome. Dead chuffed.
