I went to Semicon today to have my t610 upgraded to R1L, they told me to come back after an hour, and when I came back they said they needed the battery, so I waited for another hour and when I finally got my phone back and checked the version I was surprised to see that it was still R1A, when asked about it, they said that they just refreshed my phone since they couldn't get the firmware. I also asked about the hissing sound since my phone is a 03W20 and they said it might be fixed with the firmware upgrade and I cant replace my phone since my phone is 9 days old already (A policy which I wasn't informed about.). Hopefully, it will be upgraded tomorrow.
