got my P990i today, local vodafone shop rang me up and told me that they had one available so i rang straight round lol (only work round the corner)

Voda - £35 p/m - 1000 texts - 500 mins - phone was free.

From what i have used of the phone it looks awesome. Dead chuffed.

is that on an 18mnth contract just out of interest?

I wonder if there is any way to get rid of the vodafone startup/shutdown screen?

If the startup is there.. chances are the handsets are locked also?

Can anyone confirm?

That is not the latest firmware - it is the firmware release before the current R3B01 (organiser version) release.
Worth trying to get SEUS working to see it will update to the current version.

@SEP990i

congrats on the P990!

Try the following to get the SEUS to work:

1. Download a fresh copy of SEUS
2. Uninstall th old one
3. Make sure you've applied all the service packs and updates for XP etc
4. Make sure Java and Macromedia flash are updated
5. re-boot PC
6. Switch off firewall & anti-virus
7. Re-install SEUS
