I just hope that the X10 gets updated with the one-handed zoom feature that has been demonstrated on the mini (press and hold, then swipe up or down to zoom in/out). Looks like it works well.
Yes, I'd love to see this feature included in the 2.1 update. Does anyone know?
So, does the mini X10 already come with this function?

Yes, it does. But so far it only works in the photo gallery to my best knowledge (it does not work with e.g. the browser).

I've heard there isn't any need to debrand. As the branded firmware is alright?

Have you guys tried out PC SUITE for ANDROID.I came across it when I was trying to find out how to take screenshots on my X10.Its a must for communication between X10 and PC.It also has a screenshot manager where you can can take screenshots.
Heres a link.

Just click on the Android option.
The software loads up in Chinese by default on startup but just click on the small phone icon on the top left of the screen and change the lanquage preference to English.(downloaded from a chinese site)
This is their home website which I tried without success.Maybe you'll have better luck than me.

First thing I did was install a tethering app.I use Easy Tether. If you don't like that one then try PDANet.
Next I installed Helix Launcher for Donut to give me access to an extra 4 homescreens for all my goodies widgets, shortcuts ect I love the way you double tap on the the screen and all 7 homescreens pop up to access,so no sideways swiping.

Regarding browsing on the X10,Ive installed Operamini and Dolphin.Ive kept Operamini for when Im in slow internet coverage but uninstalled Dolphin. The default browser is pretty good. Its all I need at least and does the job well.

I use Advanced Task Killer.Ive put a shortcut on my homescreen and every now and then just press it to kill everything running in the background.Does it save battery life,it might I dont know.Ive never run dry in a days use.Using the Helix Launcher for Donut also supposed to preserve battery life over SE's Home.Read about it here,

I reinstalled my firmware today and decided to try running the phone without an task killer app. My experiment didn't last long; the phone ran like treacle after about ten minutes; menus stuttered, scrolling wasn't smooth at all, etc. I put a task killer back on and haven't looked back.
I've heard others say their phone ran fine without a task killer; I guess each person's experience is different.
