I don't think that the Sony Ericsson labels are the same size. It's a 2.4" screen, and it looks as though there's a 4mm margin from the sides, to I'm imagining the dimensions of the phone to be around 85x46x12.5mm

The phone itself looks pretty ugly in that colour. A quick photoshop:

I'd say SE is definitely moving towards using pick up hang up keys. The other phones like W880, S500 etc. are probably the last batch of the old style.

Only complaint at the moment is the design of the actual keys. They look really cheap. SE should do something like Nokia or Motorola, with a more abstract design instead of the el-cheapo look that they have at the moment.

UPDATE:

High quality LCD screens to be used in SE phones sooner rather than later.
W42S photos added.
The 5 megapixel camera module has been finalized.
A new camera module is in development with better colours.
There will be a new bluetooth headset with
There will be an announcement on the 28th of May. Shinobu and Sofia could be announced.
May be minor announcement to counter a Nokia announcement.
Shinobu will have v3.0 and will have a 16million colour screen. It will also have plastic that will change shade in different light. It will come in red and black. Its dimensions are app. 90x46x12.5mm.
Shinobu photos added.
Light effects to complement the phone will continue to become a feature integrated into future phones.
UIQ phone without touchscreen to be released this year.

EDIT: Also there's this new bluetooth headset update. Name is probably HBH-DS200. 14mm thick and 65-70mm long.

@Semo

So, finally, your deductions about dimensions are really close to mine

Seems that this phone is a little bit more longer than 9 cm, with 2.4" screen

the 'all-black' version looks a bit dull to me

a touch of colour a la S500 would be nice

maybe orange? it would look like W900 then

Why haven't they continued with the 'speaker-under-the-dpad' solution like whats seen on the S500i/W580i?

That was a good solution to a long-term problem.

@goldenface
I just can't imagine the sound quality or volume to be as loud as a normal speaker when using that design though.

A couple questions if you can of course answer..
1. Can we expect any Series 60 phone from SE this year?
2. Will Sofia be announced this month or not?

Thank you
